Acupunture
Acupuncture is the oldest continuously practiced medical system in the world and is used by one-third of the world’s population as a primary health-care system. Because of its relatively low cost and non-invasive nature, acupuncture has become an extremely popular form of complementary health care in the United States.
This highly effective system of medical care is based on natural laws that govern the movement of vital life-giving energy, both in nature and in the body. When our qi (pronounced “chi”) is not moving freely and evenly, imbalance begins to surface in the form of specific and not-so-specific symptoms. These obstructions can occur on any level: the physical, emotional, or psycho-spiritual. The study of quantum physics has proven that everything on the planet, including humans, is made up of energy and is sustained by energy. Even though we think we are solid beings and that our kitchen table is solid, it is not and we are not. Acupuncture is an energetic modality. Its purpose is to move our
energy to prevent and/or resolve stuck energy that may manifest as illness or disease. If we are feeling stuck in our lives on a mental, physical, or spiritual level, energetic shifts offer us the internal movement that we can use to create external movement towards the life we really long for.
Acupuncture’s goal is to restore smooth and harmonious qi flow. The gentle insertion of hair-thin needles at specific points along the body’s channels of qi energy helps restore harmony at the deepest level of the body, mind, and spirit. In the presence of this subtle yet profound intervention, symptoms often resolve themselves and patients frequently experience deep personal transformation.
