Kidada N. Fields
Licensed Acupuncturist
My name is Kidada Natelelge Fields and I am an acupuncturist and practicing Chinese herbalist. My healing practice weaves years of study in nutrition, herbs, biology, dance movement, and self- healing with Chinese medical arts. My role is to assist people in their healing journey and I offer a compassionate and supportive healing environment for my clients.
While I treat both men and woman for a variety of health issues, I do specialize in helping women address concerns with their gynecological health including menstrual symptoms (amennorhea, dysmenorrhea, PMS ), fertility health & the journey through menopause.
The seeds of my passion for the healing arts were planted as a young child. My mother is a healer and educator who studied acupuncture when it was illegal to do so. She also fasted and cleansed to heal her womb against doctors wishes. She chose to move us to the Caribbean for several years for a healthier lifestyle where we grew our own food while living closely with nature. She opened my mind to the gifts of alternative healing practices.
My Acupuncture training is from the acclaimed Tai Sophia Institute in Maryland. My background also includes studies of Chinese herbs & formulas, which I prescribe in conjunction with Acupuncture. In addition, I am an Auricular Detox Specialist (ADS), providing auricular treatments and support to those working through addictions.
I take an integrated approach to health and well-being. I believe that there is no one method or substance that can improve one’s life. While Acupuncture, Moxibustion & Herbs move and build Qi (life force energy), diet, exercise habits, and thought processes also play a large role in living a vibrant healthy life.
My patients are encouraged to actively participate in their healing process. Part of my work includes supporting my clients in their ability to listen to their bodies to tune into the messages that symptoms convey. As a graduate of Queen Afua’s Sacred Woman program in Brooklyn, New York, I can offer clients guidance and resources on the benefits of appropriate fasting, juicing and consuming live foods, in addition to addressing emotional blocks. Acupuncture, in particular, is a powerful tool in this work because it awakens people’s internal healing abilities and helps to remove blocks that keep people stuck in life.
Choosing to be an Acupuncturist has been a significant life decision. I am privileged to be able to use this medicine as a tool to deeply touch people. Patients come in with the desire to address physical issues and experience changes not only in the physical but on a mental and emotional level. Many have reported that they feel a deep inner peace that spreads out into their life. Witnessing the powerful benefits that people receive using this ancient medicine, I am deeply inspired and committed to continue the work I do.

When I am not treating patients, I have my hands in the soil as a professional gardener. I am also an avid student of African dance and have danced professionally for the past four years.
